The NSW Public Service Commission has published a set of capabilities for all public service roles in New South Wales. These capabilities have a wide range of applications. One possible use is the assessment of the essential requirements of a public sector role using the capabilities framework. Another use is self-assessment either by the occupant of a role, or self-assessment independent of a role. Both these uses are described in the attached document. Worked examples are included.
