The Leadership Capabilities Self-Assessment Tool has been developed using the NSW Public Sector Capabilities Framework section on leadership.
To use this tool, first undertake a self-assessment of the importance of each capability to your current role (High, Medium or Low). Then assess your currect performance and your desired performance (1-5). Next, ask your supervisor or a colleague to undertake the same assessment about you and your role. In discussion with your supervisor or colleague, use your own assessments and their feedback to identify two or three capabilities that you would like to improve. Add these to your professional development plan.
